Local Offer

The Local Offer is the “go to” website for residents in Swindon with a support need, enabling adults, children, young people and families to access information and advice on education, health and care services to help empower them.
The local offer

The Local Offer provides information to adults, young people and families across Swindon, sign posting them to services, informing them of what they should expect, how to access services, and what to do if they are not satisfied (SEND CoP 4.30).

The Swindon Local Offer is unique. It is one of the only Local Offer’s that incorporates adult social services, children and young people, care leavers and Public Health Local Offer’s together with the statutory SEND Local Offer in one site. This means there is a more complete overview on the care and support that is available for everyone that needs it across Swindon.

Local authorities must publish a Local Offer, setting out in one place information about provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have SEN or are disabled, including those who do not have Educational, Health and Care plans (EHCPs) (SEND Code of Practice (CoP) 4.1).

The Local Offer website is also the “go to” resource for practitioners, volunteers and external partners working across education, health and social care.
