Absolutely wonderful news, goes to show what can be achieved

Phillip Murphy, a Healthwatch Swindon Volunteer

We are delighted to announce that our Volunteer Team has been awarded a runner-up certificate for the Pride of Swindon Awards 2020 We could not be more proud of this achievement and are really happy that the dedicated work of our volunteers has been recognized in this way.

Alex Parker, the Volunteer Support Officer, said

I took over this role during lockdown, and have been blown away by the support I have had from our volunteers during this difficult time, so for them to receive this certificate is truly deserved.

Sadly, there will be no awards ceremony this year, but to mark the occasion we are planning a socially distanced get together to say thank you to the team for all of their hard work.

Phillip Murphy, a Healthwatch Swindon Volunteer, says:

Absolutely wonderful news, goes to show what can be achieved.

We have 22 volunteers within our team and it goes without saying that Healthwatch could not function without them. They promote us to local groups, gather feedback from their communities, they represent the voice of local people at meetings and they help guide the work that we do. Thank you!
