The 'Your Swindon' newsletter from Swindon Borough Council has been published today urging residents to pay their part in helping to keep COVID-19 cases from rising in Swindon. Swindon is on the the Government’s ‘areas of concern’ watchlist, following on from a rise in cases.

In the newsletter you will find information on:

  • how to protect yourselves and others
  • what symptoms to look out for
  • who to contact if you need emergency household supplies
  • how to get a local test

How do I get a fit note?

From 1 July 2022, nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists and physiotherapists can legally certify and issue a statement of fitness for work, or informally known as a ‘fit note’. Find out what a ‘fit note’ is, when you might need one and how to go about getting one. Previously only GPs or hospital doctors could issue fit notes.
