What is the 'Community Pot' fund?

We want to hear from local people about their experience of publicly funded health and social care services in Swindon – and then do something with what we hear. We want local people to have influence over the health and care services that are planned, commissioned and provided to make them as good as they can be.

We don't hear from everyone in Swindon and we hear less from some groups than others. The 'Community Pot' fund has been created so that we can fund a local voluntary sector organisation to carry out research with their members to help us understand local people's experiences of using health and social care services.

What is involved?

We’ll work with you on the questions we’d like answers to, we’ll put an online survey together and produce hard copies for you to get your people’s views.  You would then need to engage your contacts to get their feedback for us.

To apply for this funding we need:

  • expressions of interest from non-profit organisations in Swindon,
  • to know how many people you could realistically get feedback from about their recent experience of health and care and
  • a written submission, in no more than 500 words, telling us why we should consider your group

The engagement work with your members would be carried out between April and June 2020.

The deadline to submit your application is midday on 31 January 2020.
