Purpose of the role:

To gather feedback from people about their health and social care services and report back their views so Healthwatch can help to improve care locally. People’s views are collated anonymously and fed back to the service, the commissioners who fund the service and the Care Quality Commission who regulate the service.

What will you be doing?

As a Healthwatch representative you will be asked to:

  • Attend Healthwatch Ambassador induction or e training
  • Be the point of contact between Healthwatch and the community
  • Promote Healthwatch and its role within your group / community
  • Consult people in your group / community about their views and experiences of local health and social care services.
  • Support people to complete the Healthwatch story forms or go online to give feedback
  • Impartially and effectively report the views heard back to Healthwatch

  • Respectful of all people from all backgrounds and abilities

Other Information

The amount of time you give is flexible and will fit in around other work and events you attend. You can discuss and agree these with your volunteer support officer.
