The last Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee (HOSC) meeting before the May local elections takes place on Wednesday 2 Apr 2014 from 18:00 onwards at the Civic Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon SN1 2JH.

We will be there to report on some of the scrutiny we have undertaken in the last few months.

  • the review, scrutiny and development of policy recommendations;
  • the management of performance,
  • the monitoring of progress against corporate priorities and
  • the formulation of advice for the Cabinet, Council and other Health partners and stakeholders.

To have specific responsibility (but not limited to):

  • the scrutiny of the Healthy Communities and Older People Block of the Swindon Local Area Agreement;
  • scrutiny of Health, Health Commissioning and Service Delivery;
  • Adult Social Care;
  • Public Health;
  • Recreation and Leisure Services
  • Health Integration and collaborative working and commissioning with Health agencies.

We have one co-opted seat on the committee.

The agenda is generally published one week before the meeting and you can see it and previous meeting minutes here.
