Which dentists are taking on NHS patients and offering appointments?
Healthwatch saw a 452% rise in calls and complaints over the summer (July – September) last year in relation to dentistry. While many of you continue to report problems trying to access dentist appointments and importantly, an NHS dentist.
Healthwatch Swindon has taken this feedback on board and embarked on a project to discover what dentists are taking on NHS patients and which ones are offering dental appointments. This task has been undertaken by Alex Parker, Volunteer Support Officer, and our volunteer team.
This is an ongoing task and will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
As of 4 April 2021, Healthwatch Swindon can confirm the following dentists are hoping to open to new patients in the coming weeks;
- Park South Dental Surgery, hopes to open up to new NHS patients from 14 April 2021.
- Eldene Dentist, hopes to open up to new NHS patients in May 2021.
- Smile Dental Care Pinetrees, hopes to open up to new NHS patients in May 2021
- Eurodental (Devizes Rd), has opened its waiting list.
