Public Consultation - Swindon Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2018


Swindon's Health and Wellbeing Board has a statutory obligation to undertake a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every three years. The document is used by NHS England to support the legal decision making for the provision of pharmacy services across the county.

The Health and Wellbeing Board has approved the draft PNA for public consultation. The document is now available for review and comment in line with the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013 for 60 days.

To respond to the consultation please review the draft PNA 2018 documents and email JSNA@swindon.gov.uk with your comments on the following questions:

  • This document shows that pharmaceutical provision within Swindon is considered satisfactory. Do you agree with this statement? If you do not agree, what else should be considered?
  • Do you have any other relevant comments to add to this document?

The consultation deadline for responses is 14 January 2018.

A final version of the document will be taken to the Health and Wellbeing board in March 2018 and comes into effect from 1 April 2018.
